SM Foundation has officially opened the application for SM College Scholarship 2024. Established by Mr. Henry Sy, Sr. and Mrs. Felicidad T. Sy in 1983, SM Foundation aims to empower communities through several programs, including education.

The foundation has been conducting a scholarship program for college students for over two decades, believing that education is the primary solution to poverty.

Through the SM College Scholarship program, SM Foundation supports the youth in attaining their full potential and achieving their dreams.

  • Luzon: NCR, Albay, Bataan, Batangas, Benguet, Bulacan, Cagayan, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Cavite, Isabela, Laguna, Nueva Ecija, Palawan, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Sorsogon, Quezon, Rizal, Tarlac, Zambales

  • Visayas: Capiz, Cebu, Iloilo, Leyte, Negros Occidental

  • Mindanao: Agusan del Norte, Davao del Sur, Misamis Oriental, South Cotabato, Zamboanga del Sur

What are the qualifications?

To be eligible for the SM College Scholarship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Graduated from Grade 12 in a public or private school within the covered areas. Private school graduates must have a DepEd voucher and must have finished Grade 10 in public high schools.

  • Achieved a general weighted average grade of at least 92% or its equivalent during the first semester of Grade 12.

  • Comes from a household with an annual total income of P250,000 or less.

Meeting all of these qualifications is necessary to be considered for the SM College Scholarship Program.

What are the benefits of the scholarship?

The SM College Scholarship provides its recipients with full tuition and other school fees, a monthly stipend, part-time job opportunities during the summer break and Christmas break, enrichment programs, and other fun activities sponsored by SM. Additionally, graduate scholars receive exclusive job offers with the SM Group.

The portal provides an easy and convenient way for incoming college freshmen to apply for the scholarship. Applicants can create a free account to access the online application form. The online application process is open for a limited time only, so interested applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

What are the required documents?

To apply for the SM Scholarship Program, applicants must submit an accomplished online application form with specific attachments. These attachments include either the latest Income Tax Returns of the parent/s or guardian, a Certificate of Non-Filing of Income, or a Certificate of Indigency. In addition, applicants must submit their latest Grade 12 report card, birth certificate, two copies of recent 2x2 ID pictures, and a sketch of their residence to the nearest SM Mall.
